The Pacific Palisades Community Council submitted a letter to the Los Angeles City Board of Public Works Commissioners on November 21, 2020, objecting to a planned Request for Proposal (RFP) for digital signage installation in city bus shelters, citing inadequate public outreach and requesting that Pacific Palisades be exempted from the program. The council argued that the preliminary RFI process conducted through LABAVN excluded neighborhood and community councils from participation and violated principles of open government.
