The Pacific Palisades Community Council expresses strong opposition to digital advertising signage in the public right of way throughout Pacific Palisades and supports a motion (CF 20-1536) regarding the Street Furniture Advertising Program (STAP) RFP, requesting that existing protections for scenic corridors and neighborhoods be carried forward in any new contract and that the city conduct an extensive public process before finalization.

The Pacific Palisades Community Council and Palisades PRIDE jointly oppose the City's planned Request for Proposals to install digital advertising signage in bus shelters throughout Los Angeles, particularly in Pacific Palisades, citing concerns about visual blight, public safety hazards, and impacts on the community's character and aesthetic appeal. They request that the City halt the RFP process to allow for public input and community engagement, and seek an exemption for Pacific Palisades from any digital signage installation.
