A June 8th LAX/Community Noise Round Table meeting presented results of the North Downwind Arrival Study, which analyzed aircraft operations data from 2010-2015 to investigate increased noise complaints since October 2015. The study found a 22% increase in aircraft operations, changes in fleet mix toward larger aircraft, and temporary flight track variations in 2014-2015, though altitudes remained largely unchanged and no single explanation for the complaint increase was identified.
