Public SafetyWildfire Prevention
LADWP contractor Osmose will conduct detailed visual inspections of approximately 4,000 overhead power poles in Pacific Palisades from August through October 2023 to ensure safety and reliability, with inspections taking 15-30 minutes per pole and no anticipated power outages or traffic impacts. Inspectors will use binoculars and measuring devices to examine pole conditions, electrical equipment, transformers, and other components, and will request access from residents for poles on private property.
