Mayor Karen Bass is holding a virtual community meeting on Friday, January 31 at 3:00 PM to discuss plans to safely lift restrictions in the Palisades and share recovery updates. The meeting will include Councilwoman Traci Park, City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto, District Attorney Nathan Hochman, and LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell.

The Pacific Palisades Community Council and Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness submitted letters opposing a proposal to site homeless housing at Will Rogers State Beach, citing fire danger concerns following the July 9th Tuna Canyon fire and questioning whether feasibility has been predetermined. The Pacific Palisades Community Council's Executive Committee submitted a letter to state agencies opposing the use of Will Rogers State Beach for homeless housing and advocating for continued unlimited public access to the state beach. Senator Ben Allen is scheduled to speak at the PPCC meeting on July 8, 2021 from 6:30-7:00pm.
