  Multiple Westside community councils, including Pacific Palisades Community Council, adopted a position supporting the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project with an on-campus UCLA Station at UCLA Gateway Plaza and opposing relocation to Gayley Avenue and Strathmore Drive without additional environmental review and community comment. The motion requires Metro to prepare an amended environmental impact report and conduct additional outreach if any alternative UCLA Station location is considered.

• Support for Council File 21-1115 (Buscaino)

  The Westside Regional Alliance of Councils supported Council File 21-1115 (Buscaino), which called for drafting an ordinance to ban bicycle chop shops from public property and public rights-of-way in Los Angeles. The ordinance passed City Council on June 21, 2022, and became effective on August 8, 2022.

  

• Support for Director’s Determination re Murphy Drill Site

  Multiple Westside neighborhood councils, including Pacific Palisades Community Council, passed a motion supporting the City of Los Angeles's February 28, 2023 Letter of Determination that imposed additional conditions on the Murphy Oil Drill Site in West Adams to protect residents from pollution and noise, in response to an operator appeal filed in March 2023. The motion calls on the City to uphold the determination and urges member councils to submit comment letters to the South LA Area Planning Commission before the postponed appeal hearing.

  

• Support for Position re Ordinance 187427 (Speed Limit Reductions)
