Pacific Palisades Community Council announced its 2024 awards honorees: Cindi Young as Citizen of the Year for her work with the Task Force on Homelessness, Leslie Campbell and Carlos Rodriguez as Golden Sparkplugs for advocating for the dog park and protecting hillsides from fire respectively, and Thomas Hathaway as Pride of the Palisades for organizing the Will Rogers 4th of July 5K/10K Run. The awards will be presented on December 12, 2024, at a gala dinner at Casa Nostra Ristorante.

Two candidates have withdrawn from the race, leaving contested races in Area 3 (Joe Layton and Julia Nilsen) and Area 6 (Lorie Cudzil and Michael Schwarz).

Eligible voters must be 18 or older as of August 30th, with residents voting for their Area Representative and residents, property owners, or business operators voting for the At-large Representative.

The Pacific Palisades Park Advisory Board will meet on July 18, 2024 at 6:30 pm to consider approval of proposed designs for the Recreation Center Playground revamp. The deadline to submit applications and candidate statements for PPCC Board Area and At-large Representative positions is July 25, 2024 at 5pm, with new officers and candidates to be announced at a virtual board meeting on July 25.

WRAC proposed that the City of Los Angeles receive monetary compensation and/or community benefits equivalent to fair market value when easements in the public right of way are transferred, with the value invested in affected Community Plan areas. The motion was adopted by WRAC in May 2024 and passed by nine neighborhood councils including Pacific Palisades Community Council.
