A motion to minimize light pollution was proposed in May 2023 and formally adopted by WRAC in September 2023, requesting that the City Council implement the Five Principles of Responsible Outdoor Lighting and codify these principles through municipal codes and community plans. The motion was passed by nine neighborhood councils and community councils across the Westside, including Pacific Palisades Community Council.
