Pacific Palisades Community Council sent a letter to Judge David O. Carter opposing a City Council motion to study using state beach parking lots and parks for homeless housing, citing that Will Rogers State Beach parking lot is currently serving as a wildfire command post and that County Code prohibits habitation on beach parking lots. The Council requested that the Will Rogers State Beach parking lot be excluded from any settlement or court order regarding homeless housing locations in Los Angeles.
