Mayor Karen Bass issued Emergency Executive Order No. 9 on July 30, 2025, prohibiting the City of Los Angeles from accepting or processing applications under Senate Bill 9 for urban lot splits and two-unit developments within Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones in the Palisades Fire area, consistent with the Governor's Executive Order N-32-25.

The PPCC Grants Committee recommends a $3,000 grant from donations to The Seed Bomb Project to purchase ingredients for making and distributing seed bombs to fire-impacted Pacific Palisades residents. The seed bombs, made with native wildflower seeds adapted to local climate conditions, are intended to help restore cleared lots into wildflower meadows and support community healing after the 2025 Palisades Fire.

Palisades Fire 2025Immediate Response
The Pacific Palisades Post Office at 15243 La Cruz Drive has been closed due to the Palisades Fire, with operations relocated to the Rancho Park Post Office effective January 13, 2025. Customers can retrieve parcels and post office box mail at the temporary location or access retail services at nearby West Los Angeles Finance and Palms Post Office locations.
