The Westside Regional Advisory Council (WRAC) recommended that the City of Los Angeles oppose AB 1373, which would exempt 40 square blocks of downtown Los Angeles from the California Outdoor Advertising Act. The motion was proposed on June 17, 2015, and was passed by six neighborhood councils including Bel Air-Beverly Crest, Brentwood, Mar Vista, West LA-Sawtelle, Westside, and Westwood.

Multiple neighborhood councils, including Pacific Palisades Community Council, opposed the IKE interactive kiosk program (CF 22-1154) citing concerns about lack of competitive bidding, missing financial and environmental analysis, visual pollution, sidewalk space reduction, and driver distraction conflicts with Vision Zero policy. Pacific Palisades Community Council passed a modified version of this position on June 13, 2024.
