Summary

The PPCC Executive Committee unanimously supports a motion by Councilmember Buscaino that proposes an ordinance to prohibit sitting, lying, sleeping, and storing personal property within 500 feet of libraries in the public right-of-way. This position is consistent with previous PPCC positions supporting bans on homeless encampments near sensitive sites including schools, libraries, parks, and in low-density residential zones.
